We have always loved the beauty and the colors that are found in nature. We work very hard to show you our love of the natural world in our products. We are deeply grateful to be able to share that love for God’s creation with you.

Our Stories

Shana brings the artistic flair with her use of beautifully flowing patterns and color combinations. As the owner of a successful tye dye business for many years, she is skilled at capturing both the vivid brilliance and also the subtle nuances of color. By using a rainbow assortment of mica powder pigments and alcohol-based inks, she is able to recreate many of the wonderous colors and patterns found in nature. By combining her color stylings with the beautiful structures and grains of our wide variety of woods, she captures all the wonderous textures that surround us.

Michael is the behind-the-scenes craftsman who works the materials into their final products. Working to the highest quality standards has been the cornerstone of his career and continues today with A2H. His resume includes quality control for spaceflight avionics and servicing high-power lasers around the globe. He currently works as a process engineer, helping build advanced electronic circuit boards. Later in life through a dear friend, he discovered a passion for woodworking, and he has approached these new disciplines with the same focus and attention to detail he has always been known for.

Michael and Shana are blessed and honored to have the opportunity to share our creations with you. We sincerely hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy crafting them for you.

About our Products

We want to bring our love of nature’s beauty indoors for you to share and enjoy. Our products will make wonderful gifts to be cherished for years. We hope you see and feel the care, the love and the craftmanship we build into all our products.

We try to source all our materials in a thoughtful manner to respect and help preserve the natural beauty that we try to emulate. Our woods come from many sources. We use many recycled and reclaimed woods found locally here in Northern Idaho. We also use quality domestic hardwoods selected from all over the country. When we purchase exotic imported woods, we buy from responsible dealers who support sustainable harvesting.

We never use any harsh stains or chemicals on our jewelry, coasters or charcuterie boards. We use only food grade natural oils that are FDA approved. Likewise, all our resins are also FDA approved. Our earrings and necklaces use only the highest quality hypo-allergenic 304 surgical stainless-steel hardware, and our pendants are strung on the highest strength American made micro-paracord.

Care and Maintenance

With proper care and maintenance, our products will last a lifetime. We suggest periodically applying a natural oil to keep the wood nourished and protected. Our boards are meant for serving only. Do not cut on the boards, as you will permanently damage the surface. Wash gently by hand with a soft cloth with warm water and never by machine.

Due to the nature of both wood and the organic flow of resin, natural variations are to be expected in both color and appearance. No two pieces will ever be identical, and no guarantees can be made to duplicate a previously made piece exactly.

We strive to hold the highest quality standards in our products, and we take the extra time to ensure that no small detail is overlooked. We stand behind our products, and if you ever are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us and we will make it right for you.

We look forward to working with you to create that perfect handcrafted memory to last a lifetime!

Our A2H Name History

Our company name A2H is taken from the quote “Appeal to Heaven”. This is from an essay originally penned in 1689 by the Englishman John Locke in response to the tyranny and oppression of the people by the British monarchy. Later, the phrase was famously displayed on a Revolutionary War flag used by George Washington, and it also flew on a small fleet of Naval ships from Massachusetts as well.

Simply put, it states that when after all efforts and all legal options fail to correct injustices committed by those in power and authority, we can, and we must turn to God for help. We humbly ask for His intervention on behalf of our Country. We also seek His guidance and His strength for our lives.

We feel that Locke’s words are just as important today, if not more so, as when they were written over 300 years ago.
